What they discover: They discovered how the immune system is kept in check
The main point of focus of their research was “for their discoveries concerning peripheral immune tolerance”

Nobel Prize for Medicine or Physiology, which was awarded on Monday to three scientists. One is from Japan and two is from Americans. These awards were sanctioned for their discoveries on peripheral immune tolerance which safeguard humans.
Our immune system protects us from thousands of microbes which invade our bodies daily.
Many of these microbes develop their appearances like human cells as a form of camouflage and how our body is able to determine or which we usually T-cell are able to determine that these are the human cell or these are the microbes which camouflage as a human cell and not Destroy our own organ.
These three scientists were awarded Nobel Prize 2025 for medicine for their fundamental discoveries relating to peripheral immune tolerance. These laureates identified the immune system security guards which we usually call T cells, which prevent immune cell from attacking our own body and able to distinguish between the microbes which seems or able to camouflage themselves as a human cell.
